Serhii Adamenko, an Irish-Ukrainian author, was born in 1965 in Krasnyi Luch, located in the Luhansk region of Ukraine. He graduated from the Commercial Technical College and served in the Soviet Army for two years. During 1990–1991, Serhii played an active role in Ukraine’s fight for independence and was instrumental in founding the first Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Donbas region of Eastern Ukraine.
In 1997, Serhii emigrated with his family to Argentina, and in 2002, they relocated to Ireland, where he has lived and worked ever since. From 2017 to 2018, he joined the Volunteer Corps “Right Sector” to defend Eastern Ukraine against Russian aggression.
Serhii is the author of several notable works, including The Flight of the Butterfly, The Gaze of the Raven, The Step of the Wolf, The Heroes of Modernity, and Slaves Are Not Allowed into Heaven. Beyond his literary achievements, he is a proud father of four children.
